Exercising Through Cancer Therapy

Duration of the course: 60mins
Track: Clinical
Topics: Cancer, Exercise

About The Course

Support your patients during their cancer therapy using exercise.
Duration: 60mins

Regular exercise is now recommended as a complementary therapy to minimize the side effects of cancer treatment and to improve physical function, quality of life and even survival.

This interactive one hour webinar will be presented by Will van den Berg, an experienced Exercise Physiologist who provides exercise programmes to
support patients during their cancer therapy. The webinar will explore the latest evidence related to exercise as an adjunct therapy and, through case studies, illustrate how this evidence can be applied in practice.

Colleagues will join Will to discuss the role of the multidisciplinary team
supporting patients undergoing cancer therapy.

Learning Outcomes

  • List the proven benefits of exercise to patients undergoing treatment for cancer.
  • Describe ways in which the evidence can be implemented into practice.
