This year, one of our most popular presenters was Simon Gould, Director and Principal Lecturer for Medics for Life. Practice Managers and receptionists really enjoyed the webinar he delivered on “Dealing with Difficult Patients” in June.
When we asked practice managers and receptionists about the training they most wanted, triage for non-clinical staff topped the list and we are delighted that Simon will be joining us on July 20th to deliver another great webinar “Triage for non-clinicians in general practice“.
As the first point of contact for patients, it is critical for reception staff to know how to how to triage a phone booking or walk in presentation. The 1 hour interactive webinar will focus on the basic skills required by reception staff to confidently assess patients and apply the principles of triage to reduce risk, ensure that patients receive safe and appropriate care and to assist with the efficient running of the practice.
Simon will discuss skills such as active listening, the ability to ask the right questions and to problem solve without involving a doctor if possible. So, although this course is primarily targeted at general practice, receptionists from other healthcare settings will find the session valuable and are welcome to register.
